On 25.07.2021 the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Consumer Rights" on warranty obligations in electronic form" entered into force. Buyers will now have the opportunity to obtain a guarantee for the purchased goods on the Internet.
In particular, it is assumed that at the request of a consumer registration of technically complex household goods at the official website of the manufacturer and the registration of warranty obligations in electronic form is made by the seller when selling such goods.
In addition, at the request of the consumer, the seller shall provide operational documents for technically complex household goods (passport or any other document attached to the product) in paper form.
Implementation of the provisions of this Law will also contribute to the simplification of business conditions through the digitalization of business processes and improving the service provided to consumers during the warranty service of purchased goods.
